Isn’t Life Great? - What kind of leader are you and what kind of teams, organization and company are you building around you?

You as a leader will impact teams, organization and company around you wheather you want it or not What kind of leader you are will obviously impact other leaders and the company culture. People don’t do what you tell them to do, but what you do. Therefore make sure to take a minute now and then to think about how you are as a leader, how others perceive you and how you’re impacting others. It’s unfortunately very easy to introduce the culture of cold blooded blame game and individualism just because you’re stressed and frustrated. But believe me, you don’t want to go there…not for yourself and not for the sake of your company or anyone else… Remember and remind yourself about the levels-of-culture from “Tribal Leadership” that applies for any group of people, team, organization or whole company? ·           "All life sucks!"       Stage One:  The stage most professionals skip, these are tribes whose members are despairing...

Boid in Command - Do you trust you organization? Is your organization self-organizing?

Boid is a legendary AI program from the 80ies. It is about emergent systems, i.e. self-organising organisations, where the whole is greater that the individuals, but the individuals are in command. Boid is short for “bird-oid”, i.e. bird robot, and simulates bird flocks. In a flock every boid decides which direction to take based on simple principle guidelines. Every boid is also paying attention to the group and thereby something greater emerges. One boid can get the entire flock to change direction, but no boid is leading the group. One boid or several might be at the front pointing out the direction, but they can also retire into to group and the group decides whether they follow or not. If no boid was flying the flock wouldn’t get anywhere. If all boids were flying independently of each other, they would be alone. If no boid took the lead the flock would eventually crash. Being a great entrepreneur and leader is not about starting a new company, nor it's a one-man-show. It's about believing in something and then engage in the challenge. It's about finding the right people to create together with and to grow talent together with. There are no shortcuts, only hard work - but it's so much fun and I love it! If you succeed, if you find the right thing to believe in, if you find the right people to create together with and if you really engage, then you can become a part of something great, be part af a great piece of art, like a monument. Or as Steve Jobs would have put it " make your dent in the Universe and start not just a business, but an entirely new way of life". Here is a great post and some examples to become inspired by.
